what is smartest way to shop iTunes?

hi all,

what is the best way to buy music on iTunes invert the guise of earning rewards? I was thinking the Amex EveryDay made sense for the sake of hitting the minimum transaction count; however, iTunes doesn't charge right away -- it waits a week and then sends one receipt for everything I bought, counting as one transaction.

Is buying iTunes gift cards at a grocery store (I'd use my Sallie Mae) the way to go?

Do you have any other creative ideas to earn rewards when shopping on iTunes?

I wait until they're on sale through Paypal digital gifts for 20% off. Staples also has 20% off deals on occasion.

If other special offers aren't available, buy the cards through a discounter.

shows lots of cards at 8% off, and then add in whatever the credit card used to buy them gives.

Then go through a cashback portal: http://www.cashbackmonitor.com/cashback-store/itunes/

(so TopCashBack currently gives 8%) and use the gift card to pay.

I just buy whatever i want whenever and put it on my citi Thank you premier... I put about 98% of my spending on that card that doesn't include Costco.

This is me everytime. I currently have about $80 credit on my itunes. I'd top it up with a 20% off from ebayt as soon as the credit goes below $30 and still get ebay points and paypal points as well

Target even has them on sale on occasion. If your Target codes as a grocery store, you could use Sallie Mae. If you have the redCard, you can use that, too.

I'll have to lookin into Paypal digital gifts. Hmmm.
