I like my dividend card, and have used it as my primary everyday spending card for about 2 years. i've started to travel a lot for my work, and there's pretty much always a hilton-owned hotel wherever you go. how valuable are the points you get with the hilton card, though, when compared to the 1% default/5% rotating cashback you get with the dividend card?
Do you know if you can keep the same interest rate/credit line when you switch?
Thanks all.
Why not just apply anew for the bonus? If you product switch, instead of the "two free weekend nights," all you get is a "thank you."
How valuable the points are varies greatly depending on how much the hotel at which you stay costs. The higher the cost of living at the city where you stay, the more valuable HHonors points are. Normally they are in the 0.3-0.7 cents per point range.

+1
Never switch cards unless there is no other way to get the card (and in that case you don't need the card). Apply and take the bonus. Sure it's one (or more) HP but those drop off in a couple of years and are not really used against you after they age 12 months.
The points earned on spend are not really worth much as compared to SPG, Hyatt etc but the bonus is a big boost. Free nights! Plus you will be earning points on your stays and I am assuming that the company is paying for those stays - or you pay on your Hilton card and get reimbusred.
