I'm in 51% as well. My wife has been in cc debt for 30 years since we met and it is strain occasionally. Hindsight I would have done things differently.
I don't think wealthy people are immune too. My best friend received about 30m from the proceeds of sale of family business. He proceeded to squander most of it, he got divorced and it ruined other relationships he had. He also had his share of tax liens, judgments, lawsuits due to breach.
money mismanagement seems to seep into people's lives regardless of income.
