Re: "JPMorgan Chase ranks No. 1 in customer satisfaction: J.D. Power"

Was that a "shocked" as in "no kidding."

Or a "shocked" as in "what the hell?"

For all the things that get lamented about Chase on this forum, we're a tiny outlier fraction of the general population; I for one think Chase is a good bank for the majority of things personally, other's opinion will of course vary.

I've never had a problem with them, which is why I keep them around as a backup. Unlike my other banks and CUs, their systems always function like they should and the timing for procrssing never varies.

"What the hell" kind of shock. Chase is a good bank (I bank with them), but I thought Discover would be No. 1 in JD. Smiley Happy

+1 Agreed.

Chase's bill-payment service has yet to let me down. Smiley Wink

Discover over the last 2 (I think) years has started various banking-oriented products but I suspect if you asked 100 people on the street virtually none of them would think of Discover as a bank.

It's an interesting question as to what would define a bank, but the technical definition which Discover absolutely meets, is likely different than public perception.

NONE of my CU's or USAA exist in my state. But there is a Chase available on every corner to accept my cash deposit (on that rare chance when someone pays me in cash). They keep my $.01 safe in a checking account. I keep my Chase Freedom around for a good category, but it's always been redundant with my other cards. They are polite when I need something notarized.

I do ZERO traveling, so I am an outlier when it comes to Chase. I don't bad mouth them, but I also don't need them.

Maybe someday I will.
