@Anonymous wrote:Where is everyone getting their scores from? Is everyone paying for them through services or is there a place to get them for free. I get the TU score from Barclays and Discover, the Experian from a 7-day trial and my Equifax from my Discover application, but two of those scores will be out of date shortly. Starting to wonder if I'm just a cheapskate in not wanting to pay for my scores.
I do pay for myfico for credit alert, not necessarily for score, but I also get free score from Barlcays, Discover and Citi. Hopefully soon from PSECU and Chase at some point. I think it's fair to get score for free and it should be so. You don't have to feel bad.
I have PSECU and they usually post the credit score around the 15th of each month. Last month it was a few days earlier, but in April it was exactly on the 15th.

They don't; which score was it, the new (ish, last few months) FICO they're pushing or the old educational score?
Actually they *do* supply you with a score, but FAKO rather than real FICO.
Thats not true AT ALL.
They supply Fico08,
Many members have Experian and MyFico and the experian Fico08 matches exactly.
PS to the OP if you call experian they will lower the monthly service to $10 a month. if you tell them its too exp.
It's full report and score too .. not just updates..... like *some sites
I believe part of the confusion is that until just a short time ago the consumer could not get an Experian FICO score from any site or source. For several years EX simply stoppped selling FICO's to the general public.
In those days if you clicked on any of the CRA's websites from annualcreditreport.com the only place to get a true FICO score was Equifax and even then you had to be careful (just like today) that you weren't buying the EQ proprietary credit score which is not used by any lenders.
Going to TU and EX directly from annualcreditreport back then would not yield you a FICO score either.
But now yes you can get an EX FICO from their website.

Everyone isn't identical. People use various sources. I don't really worry about them though I do get scores via Discover, FNBO and PenFed. Be careful relying on scores and make sure you understand the scoring model and CRA for the score you're getting versus what a potential creditor will pull for you. There are a number of FICO models used by creditors and scores will vary depending on model, CRA and even the date as data can and does change over time.
If you want FICO's for all 3 from one source you need to get them from myFICO.

Everyone has to do what works for the individual based on preference and budget. If you don't want to pay then focus on the data in your reports instead. You can review your TU and EQ reports for free with weekly updates via CK. Fixating on the numbers can be unreliable due to the different scoring models used unless you can determine the scoring model and CRA used by the creditor you're applying to. Even so, you can't get scores for all models.
