120 day Lates are killing me...Help!

HI everyone! I really need your input. My local utility company United Illuminating is killing my score. They have 120 day lates posted for feb, mar, apr, may, june, jul of 2007. I gw in Sept. Got a letter stating the info is correct and cannot change. They made a boo-boo and deleted baddies from EX but still remains on tu and eq. Well I look further into this and go back to all of the statements for those months and low and behold I was NOT120 days late. I entered into a payment arrangement in feb because I was 30 days late. from feb thru apr I paid the monthy min. in may I paid in full and actually overpaid by 50 bucks so they owed ME! I cannot understand how they said that the info is correct when it is wrong. I am losing sleep over this because these lates are killing my score. Should I call them and get an account specialist to go over every statement during that period with me on the phone or should I dispute with tu and eq? Or should I not do anything as to not risk them putting the baddies back on EX. How long do lates affect scores? I could live with 1 year but 2-4 I cannot! Please advise on what to do. Thanks so much!

My Utl co has the entire payment history online.

I would ask for the payment history for the last 2 years-

When they ask why explain- after you have the data, escalate to a supervisor and above.

I would avoid he face to face -

I would get ahold of a VP by phone or ask him/her to meet with you if they are unable to resolve by phone.

Companies do not like unannounced visitors.
