The department of education even sent him a letter congratulating himWe are trying to buy a house, so this judgement that was on his credit report was killing us. In January they told us that it would be no later than the 2nd week of February that the judgement would be wiped clean from his credit report, sadly it is May now and EQ is still reporting that the judgement and have not reported the new loans in good standing. The impact of this is two scores in the 700s and one in the low 500s. We have put a statement on his report but this isn't good enough for mortgage underwriters. How do I force them to update his report?Who told you that the judgment would be removed? As for the new loans, call the loan company and ask them why they have not reported the new loans. Some companies do not report to all 3 and they do not have to.Question #2: I voluntarily surrendered a vehicle back in 2005 (too many kids, car too small), utlimately my car was only sold for 1,800 (I'll touch on this in a minute) leaving me with a balance of 5,900 owed to Ford. Of course we didn't have the money, so we just ignored it for a while. Back in September I was contacted by a lady from SRA & Associates telling me that she had pulled my credit report and that I should apply for personal loans from Household Finance and American General to get the money to pay Ford with. Every time she called me I offered to make payment arrangement and everytime she told me that she couldn't accept the amount without at least 3K down.Last month I was contacted by another agency who said "no problem, we can take your payments". He also said that Ford was going to seek judgement against me if I didn't come up with an approved repayment plan. I explained to him that my car was sold for less than Kelly Blue Book Value (remember me mentioning the sale price of my car that only two years old and had no damage and low miles?) He inquired into it and I was correct. So in exchange for me making 7 $300 payments, Ford settled with me for $2,100 and a written promise to completely remove all bad remarks on my credit report along with a PIF satisfactory statement. Here's the complicated question -- when that lady pulled my credit report and told me to apply for loans -- did she have PP? I want that removed from my report because I have too many hard pulls now to apply for the mortgage with my husband. It is a very debated topic as to whether a CA has PP or not. You might send the non-PP letter and see if they remove or recode to a soft pull. The only other option is small claims and hope the judge sides with you. How many of your hard pulls are from CAs? You might point out to the underwriters(if they'll consider it) that X amount of the hard pulls were from a CA, not someone you were shopping for credit with.Short of a few less than $100 things on my credit report that will be cleared up compliments of the stimulus payment, the only thing holding us back from getting the house we so desperately need is those two things. Can anyone offer me some suggestions on these?Thank you so much in advance!

TU and EQ removed it right away -- still waiting for EX and it was supposed to be removed by no later than Feb. We paid them out of default in December. Can we fax the letter from the dep. of edu to EQ and ask them to remove it since NCO has not?Who filed the judgment? Only the creditor who filed can take part in having it removed.I will send the letter to SRA in the hopes that they just remove it or recode it.I also noticed that last week NCO reported an old AT&T bill from 1999 on my CBR. They changed the reported date to 2004. Not only is the date reported incorrect, I also paid this off in 2004 when I switched my cell phone back to AT&T/Cingular. It has long since fallen off my report. Isn't it illegal to change the date of a debt?Yes, it is. It's called re-aging. You need to dispute with the CRA based on "FCRA Compliance Date"
