30 Day Reporting.

I'm looking at a chargeoff from a Citicard account that's on my credit report. Transunion shows I made my last payment on June 15, 2018. On my Experian credit report for July 2018 it shows I was 30 days past due. I dont understand how I am 30 days past due if I paid on the due date in June.

Re: 30 Day Reporting.

Timeliness of a payment is based on billing due date, not when the last payment was made.

Did the last payment made on June15 both have a billing due date on that date, and was did that payment amount meet both the timeliness and min payment amount requirements based on the June bill?

Chargeoff info incorrect

I have two chargeoffs on my credit reports. Both chargeoffs I believe have inaccuracies that I don't know whether or not I should dispute. One chargeoff shows a payment in June but it's 30 days past due in July on my Experian report but on my Equifax report it shows its 60 days past due even though I paid on time in June. Can I dispute this and use the credit reports against each other to get this item removed from both reports?

In short no. You could bring it to the attention of the creditor directly with a direct dispute but I think I would just arrange a settlement and walk away as the real elephant is the CO.

As both of these posts are part of the same thing they have been merged into one. Thanks for your understanding on this OP

Re: 30 Day Reporting.

Don't dispute the charge-offs just because you think payment dates might be off or the amount due.

If the charge-off is not reporting monthly, a dispute will cause the creditor to update the information making it appear as if it is a fresh CO.

I did this in February and now, instead of it appearing like I have a CO from December 2017, my credit reports indicate 1 month since my most current delinquency... it tanked my EX scores by 25 points from which I still haven't recovered.

Disputing valid charge-offs is just a really bad idea.  It can never end well.

Re: 30 Day Reporting.

Freezing your Innovis, ARS, Sagestream, Credco, LexisNexis and then sending  proper letter demanding it be removed is the way to go about it. You have to let them do the work. When you freeze those bureaus it makes it harder for them verify things. Those bureaus are where they get a majority of there info from to try and verify.
