70 late payments - GW letter work for me?

Hi,

I have spent the past solid year, researching and correcting all the credit mistakes I made when I was young. So, my next step in the journey is getting some late payments removed from my report. I'm wondering if GW letters will work for me. Unfortunately, there was a time I didn't pay my credit cards and racked up MANY late payments. Is there a solution to fix these errors.

I understand the purpose of a GW letter, but will the OC really be able to forgive so many lates?

One report shows 70 late, one shows 63, one shows 49...

Also, I should note, its been almost 3 years since I've been late.

That is a lot of credit for just 4 years.  (7-3=4)  Were these with the same companies?  How old are these lates?  My experience says to try to dispute the older items.  Then goodwill what is left. 

On second thought goodwill everything.  You have paid three years good.  Then I would dispute the older items.  Then goodwill again,  and again, and again.

Yes, all the same companies. It worked out that I had 3 credit accounts that I did not pay for about 6 months.
