Hello everyone, so a few years ago i had a amex serve account, they demed it fraudulent for some stupid reason and ended up blocking my account. now that this happened a few years ago am i banned from using amex entirely? i tried to signup for a wellsfargo propel 365 amex card but was denied. then i tried the same day for a amex delta skymiles and was denied too. am i banned or is it my credit score or something?
you can read all about my credit score here: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/General-Credit-Topics/How-to-boost-my-credit-score/td-p/3224924
The Wells Fargo card is not underwritten by Amex, so I expect you were denied for other reasons, like score or short history or something.
Since the Amex "serve" card is a "reloadable prepaid" card, it, like a standard debit card, is already your own money and does not entail the use of CREDIT being extended to you by another party! As such, it is NOT reported to any of the credit reporting agencies, and therefore has ZERO impact (good or bad) on your credit history!

Correct, however American Express Centurion Bank is the issuer of the Serve card, and if OP's card was closed for some sort of fraud reason, then I am guessing OP's application for the card was red flagged and denied.
OP: Have you tried contacting AMEX and seeing as to why your application is being rejected? You were not using your previous Serve to MS for an AMEX CC were you?
I havent tried contacting amex for the exact reasons.
I dont know what you mean about MS for an amex cc. when i signed up i did it just off of the american express website.
I had that serve account so long ago i don't even remember my username or password to try to get into it.

I do not know your CC history, so I was just offering up an idea that if you had an AMEX Credit Card along with the Serve account and you were caught red handed Manufacture spending on your CC and funding through your Serve, that they could potentially ban you from access to their products and consider it "fraud".
