Aaargh Calvary!!!

   Just finished writing a strong letter to Calvary Portfolio for delete.  Paid off in full a $6000 debt through the local agency they hired to collect.  Disputed account as paid through CRAs and Calvary still reporting a $32 balance.  WTF? Verified account paid through local agency and then got on the phone with Calvary.  First just wanted account to show paid, now after their refusing to investigate and validate and insisting I pay balance before it starts accruing interest, now am demanding deletion with a strongly worded letter to the Hawthorne address since they are insisting on reporting false information and won't validate through the company they assigned to collect.  Will send CMRRR tomorrow.  The CSR I talked to told me it was not her job to verify the PIF, that it was my job to prove it to them.  Excuse me...?  Anyway, gave them a week to respond before I file complaints.  This was my worst bad, so really want it off there asap.  Will update when I find out anything.

That scares me.  I also have a collection from Calvary.  I haven't starting working on it yet.  Sounds like they're going to be difficult.  Good luck in getting this cleared up.

Just talked to someone from Cavalry and she told me my account was paid in full. I asked her who or what Address should a forward a request letter to and she said.. We don't delete anything off of anyones credit.  I said you are the call center person right??  She said yes !  I then told her I would try to contact a supervisor of the credit dept.  She did tell me that she would send out a letter that could go to any mortgage company I applied to. 

I thinking I want the F n collection off my account..

The address she gave me was 7 skyline ave, hawthorne, ny.. I don't know if this is correct though.

I Dv'ed them, and their time is almost up. They have been hounding me for a debt that is only 60 dollars.

Just send them a GW, or even DV them, I have DV'd a paid account, and then it was deleted from my CR. You never know who the letter gets to.

Maybe I missed something here........Calvary Portfolio   is a CA  it is NOT an OC.     If they assigned it to another CA  they can not both report!!!

Who was the original OC and what was the DOFD  DOLA?

I had some issues with them as well (changing status to paid and not deleting after agreeing to PFD and not responding to my written requests to delete). I disputed online with the CRA's and it was deleted within a week. If they are being non-responsive I would go that route. Good luck!

Maybe not. I sent them a DV last month. Got a letter dated the same date they received my letter saying they closed my account. Waited a week, wasn't removed from CR so called them and it is removed from EQ and EX but not TU yet. TU is slow tho.
