Earlier this week I joined Alliant, checking & savings with direct deposit. I didn't apply for any type of credit. My EX is roughly 650, EQ &TU are likely lower.
Is there any point in joining PSECU, provided I'm accepted with my scores, other than EX scores? I'm still in the rebuilding process and hope to get some college loans later this year.
Despite reading posts here, I'm perplexed why people join multiple CUs?
If you aren't too concerned about the ability to check your EX score, and if you're already with Alliant, then I don't see any point to opening an account with PSECU. From reading other people's comments about PSECU on these forums, PSECU conducts a hard inquiry on you when you apply for their savings/checkings accounts. This inquiry could lower your scores especially if you have other recent inquiries so it might be advisable not to apply if you have no other reasons to do so than the EX FICO score.
