Alternative to CMRRR?

I thought I read about it somewhere around here--but cannot find it again. Any Help? Also, I should always do CMRRR or the like when I DV? thanks. OK Found it....Taken from My.dog.Fico (thanks) Guys, take a slightly cheaper route with CMRRR. You don't need the green card. The USPS has electronic RRR that only costs about $0.85. You log into USPS, track the CM number and tell them to send you the RRR to an e-mail account. They send you an e-mail with the receivers scanned signature. Re: Alternative to CMRRR?

I actually use the fax receipt method.  Works well.  I simply add to the bottom that fax receipt will consitute proof of delivery.

Re: Alternative to CMRRR?

That's an even cheaper method, but I don't know if it would hold up in court.

Re: Alternative to CMRRR?

it holds up - use it all the time for 'proof of delivery' on contract contingencies.  BUT, our contract includes electronic transmittal language

Re: Alternative to CMRRR?

It is legal and will hold up even without the electronic transmittal provision. The only thing you need is proofthat it was received at the location.  A fax receipt states the rtransmission went through fine whichmeans they weren't out of paper.
