Amex and FICO

I may have misunderstood and I didn't want to take over someone's post and their original post had nothing to do with the statement but they mentioned AMEX does nothing to improve your score, is this true? If this is correct why is that? Thank you

An AMEX card will help (or hurt) your score just as any other card would. 

The only exception might be a charge card. Since the don’t have a CL assigned to it, it would not help your utilization.

Thank you for that clarification. Both of mine have limits ( just got my first automatic increase on any of my cards this weekend).
