Anybody ever.....

Contacted your congressman or senator to act on your behalf and have the FTC investigate a complaint against one of these CAs? I know you can request your congressman or senator to act as your representative when dealing with another federal government agency. Just wondering if anybody ever did?

Re: Anybody ever.....

Well I'm debating contacting Holden my congressman or Spector/Casey my Senators. I figure a Congressman/Senator calling the FTC to follow up a complaint somebody made would have them bring it to the front burner and start making calls.

Re: Anybody ever.....

I would Bam  they will turn it over to another working in their office BUT it will be brought to their attention. It can't hurt!!!!

The more complaints that all REP. get the better chance that it will go futher. Congressman HATE email complaints. I also know that they trash any email that does not have name & address on it.

Re: Anybody ever.....

Oh no, there is actually a form you have to fill out giving the Rep/Sen your approval to act as your advocate when dealing with other federal government agencies. If you go to your reps webpage you will find it. It should be a pdf file you print off, sign and mail them.

Re: Anybody ever.....

I hate to break it to you, but unless you have a net worth of $10,000,000 or up, your Congressman doesn't give a hoot what you think or what your problems are.

Re: Anybody ever.....

That may be absolutely true but if they didn't do it on a regular basis the document wouldn't be on their webpage listed 1st to download.
