FedEx has been making me pull my already-receding hair out this week, trying to get them to accept any of my cards to reschedule a delivery. I recently signed up for FedEx Delivery Manager, and am currently expecting an expensive item scheduled for delivery today. Obviously, I didn't want it sitting around on my doorstep, so I tried to reschedule the delivery to the evening hours via Delivery Manager. Everything went smoothly...until I got the message "your credit card was declined, try another". This happened with both my Capital One QS Visa and my PayPal 2% MC.
The strange thing is both those cards are completely fine. I verified this by logging on to both sites to check their status - no issues - and by talking to Synchrony via online chat; the CSR verified that there's no issue with my PayPal MC at all and suggested - I agree - that the problem is on FedEx's end. I've contacted FedEx via email twice without a response so far. In the end, I finally decided to have them drop it off at the FedEx Office location nearest where I live for pickup, and that request was successfully processed (so maybe I should just have done that in the first place, right?
) (And by the way, I've made purchases successfully with both cards this morning, so I know for a fact now they're fine.)
Before anyone asks, I'm positive I entered all the relevant information for each card - full card number, expiration date, CSC, name and billing address - correctly. Or correctly from my perspective. I'm wondering if the FedEx system is one of those that's so blasted persnickety about recording information that if what you enter deviates even a single letter from what they have in their computer, they'll decline you, too bad, so sad. So I was wondering if anyone else has run into trouble like that in the past?
P.S. I suspect my mail hasn't even been seen by a human. I specifically noted in my message to them that I'm hearing-impaired and requested contact via email, but they sent an obviously canned response telling me to call them.
I had the same issues. I tried to sign up for the account and I had to enter a credit card to complete the process. It would not accept any card, I tried several, I finally just gave up. This was last week.
The reason I was doing it was because I was expecting a rug from overstock, I got delivery notification but guess what it was not delivered. After 4 phone calls in 2 days, it turns out they delivered it to my local walmart 😕. Finally got it but **bleep** frustrating.
Sorry you are having issues, but you are not alone.
