As a teenager I was an authorized user on an account. The account just had a late payment and now it appears to be effecting my score. I have read that being an authorized user doesn't effect your score, how can I be sure its not effecting my score? Thanks
Authorized user accounts do affect your scores and will continue to do so until the latest version of the FICO scoring formula is implemented. This is expected to begin in just a few months, possibly in May.
