So I have no valid accounts for revolving utlixization but just recently I got added on 4 accounts ts with good history. But I noticed that in the my fico app it says this...I highlighted in bold. What does that mean? So basically even with me added as a authorized user it's still gonna show zero?
The ratio of the sum of the balances on revolving accounts divided by the sum of the credit limits on revolving accounts reported. 'No valid accounts' means there are no revolving accounts reported or no active, non-disputed revolving accounts reported.
Authorized user accounts aren't considered in the calculation of this attribute.
For FICO High Achievers, the average ratio is less than 7%.
The message is referring to aggregate revolving utilization. That attribute is the sum of all personal credit card balances divided by the sum of all the card credit limits.
The AU cards are NOT your cards as you are not the account owner. Management of the account payments is the primary card holders responsibility.
So, AU accounts are not included in your utilization calculations nor are they considered in Fico's assessment of your recent revolving account activity.
To resolve your current issue, get a revolving credit card in your name - not as an authorized user (AU) but as the primary cardholder.
I'm sorry man. Can you keep the dumb down terms lol. I'm new to this. What's the point of adding Tradelines if there will be no effect? I'm trying to get a credit card and auto loan
You need to add your own trade lines that you are responsible for paying.
You might look into a secured card first to establish some positive payment history.
When I became unscoreable because my only reporting tradline aged off my report I had to do the same.
I made on time payments for a couple of months on the secured card and then I was able to start seeing a fico score again and was able to be approved for a few unsecured cards. 💳
I was in the same boat as snook, I was unscorable because I was credit retired. I was lucky, my long-term local bank fixed me up with a low limit unsecured card. After using and paying that account for a while, probably 6 months, I became scorable. Since I had no baddies on my report, my score has risen rapidly.
I have been learning all about credit scores since. You can look up terms like azeo and ssl for techniques that may help you. As snook said, the first thing is to get a credit card in your name. If you have a relationship with a bank of credit union, try them. If you have to, get a secured card, hopefully with no fee. After six months, you should be scorable.
