Authorized user question

I'm an authorized user on my parents' AMEX account, although I never use the card.  They charge significant amounts each ($2000+) but they always pay it off.

I'm about to apply for a mortgage, and it just occured to me that this may be affecting my score.  Will their charges go into my debt-to-income ratio?   Is this affecting my utilization rate?

If so, what would be the best course of action.  Should I get removed as a user?  Or, for the sake of the mortgage, should I just ask them not to use the card for a couple of months?

Re: Authorized user question

If it is a charge card then it shouldn't affect your utilization. If it is a credit card with a fixed credit limit, then depending on the credit limit and the amount utilized and reported on your credit report, it may affect your score. The age of the account may affect your score as well.
