hi all
I am an authorized user on a couple of my daughters credit cards. They are having financial hardship and so I have asked them to remove me as an authorized user from those accounts. I know just removing me as an authorized user won't erase the account from my credit report but can I have the account removed if I request it myself? Thank You.

Correct. First make sure your daughter removes you as an authorized user on whichever cards you were added to, then file a dispute with the burueaus as "not your credit card account" or whatever equivalent it is. They'll check and see you're an AU and remove it from your report. This is all assuming having your daughter remove you from her cards doesn't do it, sometimes it will happen by itself without you having to do anything
Thank you for the info.
You can dispute the trade line with the bureaus and have it removed since you don't own the debt. It will not hurt their account.
