Avant personal loan question

Hi. For those who got personal loans from Avant, do they report to all three credit bureaus? When do they start reporting after funding? Thank you.

Re: Avant personal loan question

avant does report to all three. when I did one 2-3 years ago, they only reported to EX. but now they do report to all 3. it takes like 2 months at least for it to start reporting.

Re: Avant personal loan question

i just now applied and got approved for $6100 loan via Avant with a TU score of 678. i m finding out the APR's i m getting is 25+ for $6100-$8000 loans. its not worth it.

however, i continued with the app and got to

a) email address verification

b) identity verification (5 questions) from way back 20 years

c)online banking login info and payment method (ACH/pre-authorized check)

d)bank stmts. (thats where i pulled my app back; dont have verifiable income just yet). no other options allowed viz letter of offer/employment

my question is if i did a,b, did i agree to a hard pull for my credit>?

anyone know?. i did find out my score 678. is it tu or other idk.

Re: Avant personal loan question

Hopefully I understand your question correctly.....When I applied and was funded the beginning of this month. No hard pull at all. Not even after funding.

Re: Avant personal loan question

Also, they never verified my income or employment. They asked for my bank login but not statements.

Re: Avant personal loan question

statements were definitely my reason for withdrawing the app. i got phone call for a 3-way call with my bank /avant/me. kinda surprised by it. besides 26% apr for $6100 loan dont exactly compute for me. rubs me kinda/sorta wrong way

Re: Avant personal loan question

I applied for Avant personal loan earlier this month, and I submitted all docs, including bank statements and tax return. They denied me a couple days later and didn't give me a reason (I'm guessing it's because they were "unable to verify income", because I got their lowest rate but was asked why there's no "cover page" to my tax return. Weird, but understandable since it's not an easy job to calculate cash flow for my self employment income). But the upside is that they never pulled hard, so no loss but some of my time. I also applied for a Promise Financial loan, which again didn't pass the income verification part, but again no hard pull on TU. Ultimately I got one with Loan Depot later, and the process went smoothly. Oddly, Loan Depot never seems to have pulled hard on my Equifax either, even through funding, despite their agents telling me that a hard inquiry would be done prior to funding. Somewhat bizzare that I get a freaking hard pull for adding a line to my cell phone plan but none for getting a nearly 20K loan...but I like it, except the hard pulls by utilities.

You got a bargain. My offer was 35.91% with a score of 819. And, yes, they pull TU.

Re: Avant personal loan question

so in your case Avant asked for tax returns/docs/statements becoz you had  a low APR?

would you have taken if it was at a higher APR like mine at 26% APR?

how can iwantfabulousfico claim no statements/income verify occured in his case. so wierd. what to make of it all

Discrimination in lending. lol
