B2B Credit

I had an interesting call from B2BCredit today and am looking for info from anyone who's had any real dealings with them.

He was really pressuring me to Incorporate and gave the impression that I couldn't build credit without it (untrue), and said that an EIN is totally not the same thing as a TIN (tax ID) which is also not true.

From the IRS website:
Is an employer ID number the same as a tax ID number?
Yes, an employer identification number, or EIN, is also known as a taxpayer identification number, or TIN.

I had contacted them for more info, but it looks like my company doesn't really fit their "formula." I'm a Sole Prop, not LLC-ing anytime soon as my only "liability" would be making people's websites look bad, haha. I'm in a super-low liability field anyway, so unless I need venture capital it's just an added headache. The salesperson still tried to get me to sign up for 9-12 months and I told him I'd think about it (which I am).

The weird thing is that everywhere I see people who have nothing but good things to say about them -- but every service the sales guy mentioned is stuff that I've already done, or am doing, on my own just fine (EIN/TIN, Biz License, getting Net30 accts, DNB setup etc). Doing it myself costs about $1500 less though.

Have you ever worked with B2BCredit? If so, what were your experiences?

Thanks!

Griffin

Re: B2B Credit

I have used them in the early stages of my biz credit building. They are not bad. If you dont have time to do things by your self, you can take their help. Did help me to get a good start.
