I made a payment on the 26th of May to a Bank of America card from an account which has been used to make succesful payments to the card in the past. There is no possiblity I entered the wrong account number since I used a stored account to draw from. Normally, BOA comes for the money within 1 business day. It's now June 2nd, 3-4 business days later. They have not withdrawn the payment from my checking. Is something wrong? I know we had the holiday but it's now been atleast 3 business days. According to the mobile app, they withdrew the payment from my checking account on May 27th. I don't see it in the checking account.
I have verified my checking account doesn't have any blocks by making a test payment to my utility company yesterday which already showed up today. And there was definetly enough funds to cover the card payment in that checking account. Has anyone else experienced this?
To boot, I made a payment on another BOA card on Sunday, which posted to a different checking account yesterday.
Thoughts?
I haven't experienced it with BoA specifically, but my wife's Comenity card has been doing the same thing recently. The payment she made on the 23rd showed a credit on the account by the 25th, but it didn't actually come out of our bank account until the 1st. If you are approaching the payment due date I would give BoA a call to make sure that everything is good and there won't be any fees assessed.
I have experienced the same thing this week with my card payments and believe it's just slower processing. I haven't experienced this previously as processing is usually just 1 day for me.
They finally came for their money . ACH posted at 1:08pm. I have never heard of an ACH posting midday before. Seems like they may have had technical issues.
