Bank Of America

I signed up to see what I got pre-approved on-line. It pulled up 3 cards and I applied for one and said they would contact in 10 days...they also wanted a number to call. Is this good news? My EQ Fico is 648. Not sure on EX or TU. But I know it should be in same ballpark. I ask chat person what big 3 they pulled from and they said anyone of the big 3. I live in MS. Does anybody knows...? I was trying to get the ranges they are looking for.

BOA are big EQ pullers but you never know.  I tried researching BOA pulls in MS and found nothing.Smiley Sad

Re: Bank Of America

Thanks. I know my EQ is 648. IS that feasible w/ them? Not really looking for secured. Have one already. My score was 536 in Feb of this year.+112 increase. I am just so excited about this credit thing now.

It has been my experience that it is a denial. I have had that to happen to me two or three times. Normally if you are applying on line, it tells u if you are approved in just a matter of seconds.

IMO, I think that instant approval is because they want to give you that credit asap (if you qualified). On the flip side, I think that the ten days is to give them enough time to get their ducks in a row before they send you out your denial slip to cover their tracks.

Is an EQ 648 feasible with an unsecured BOA card?  Probably not!Smiley Sad  Approvals are easier to come by with scores over 660.  Are you certain they pulled EQ?

Sgt ...  try not to worry.  BOA was the first prime cc I acquired, and I think my scores were in the mid 620s back then.  I live in the South ... Florida ...  and initially they pulled Experian.  Most recently though they pulled TU.

Sorry, got distracted.  Smiley Surprised)  I am assuming  you bank with them, and that while logging in to your account you saw the offer?  Good luck, and keep us posted, okay?

Re: Bank Of America

It's been mine also that is is denial...but this one was different because I signed up to see what I was pre-approved for...then 3 came up and I picked one...then it said someone would contact me for futher info. I never even filled out the application on-line. They said they would contact me in 10 days.

In that case, it is different. That is a new one on me. I haven't heard of one that says they will contactact you over the phone within 10 days. Actually, it's sounds a little more promising. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Usually says, you will receive a letter on our decision in 10 days.

I just did the same thing right now at BOA's site.  As long as you did not fill out an app for one of the cards they recommended, you did not (we did not) apply for any card.  I believe we gave enough personal info for BOA to pull a soft inq and make a decision on what cards you might get approved for.  Remember you did not apply for anything.  Which three cards did they recommend?  I did not see a message saying someone would contact me in ten days though.

Re: Bank Of America

BOA Rewards American Express Card BOA World Points Platinum Plus Mastercard BOA Cash Awards Platinum Plus Mastercard. It said that further info was needed but to give a number for them to contact. It then said I would hear from them in 10 days.
