Becoming an Authorized User

I know I should use the search function more effectively...lol.  With that being said, I have the opportunity to become an AU on someone's AMEX account.  I was just curious to the various views out there on becoming an AU ...and also would to see what experiences many of you have had in this arena.

Thanks in advance Smiley Wink

Re: Becoming an Authorized User

Becoming an AU can be either good or bad. It all depends on what you credit report currently looks like and what the account you are going to be added to looks like.

Ideally the account to be added should be older than your AAoA, have a low utilization, and be squeaky clean with respect to lates etc.
