Being sued and re-aging...

Great input, thank you.

A question.  I'm going to trial against a creditor in August.  If they have reaged my debt, is this cause for dismissal by the judge?  I'm representing myself.  Thanks.

Re: Being sued and re-aging...

Hello scottmemmer and welcome to the forums. I've split your post off from the re-aging sticky to a new thread.

I edited your post, but only to change the message subject, not the message.

What type of re-aging are you referring to? Usually when we say re-aged or re-aging, we are talking about a change of the DOFD.

You need to know your state statutes and determine when SOL begins and if the debt is within SOL.

If they are incorrectly reporting the DOFD on your CR, I don't believe that would be grounds for dismissal of the lawsuit, as we are talking about different things.
