You do not have to open a checking account. The only thing DW and I gave from them is CCMP.
Thanks -- What does CCMP stand for? (It's not in the forum abbreviations list.)
Also, are you/your family connected to the military or were you able to access the service as a non-connected civilian?
Yup, I signed up for USAA CCMP yesterday. It takes them about 24 hours for you to be able to log-in to your new account after initially signing up and checking your first report, and it can take them 4-5 days before they can start monitoring your CR's. Overall quality of the site is top notch, very organized, and some have reported getting a discount of 50% on their monthly subscription fee if you call in and are thinking of canceling service.

I signed up and two months later called in asking if there were any discounts available for my account. I stated I love the service but the 12.95 a month was kinda steep... they came back with the 50% discount for a year. Great service!!!
I just started using USAA CMMP as well. Overall it is not bad. I'm going to call in later and ask for discount.
