Ok so i have a problem with bof checking account. I had an checking account with boa few years ago. I stopped using it with a positive balance of 15-20$. and i had a credit protection plan with my boa credit card which was linked to my checking account. after i canceled that protection plan they still charged me for a month and the checking account dropped in negative, than they kept charging fees and the account was closed with negative 168$. when i opened this account i just moved to this new place and the person who used to live here had a same last name and he forwarded all this mails to CA and all my boa mails used to go there, i even did report that to boa few tyms. so long story short i never got any statements that the account was negative and was closed. Now i tried calling the boa recovery dep few tyms and they can take the payment but cannot remove me from chexsystem. They are saying that since the account was in June 2011 closed long tym ago they cannot settle the account and not remove it from chex. Nor can i dispute the fees since they r valid and the account was closed longtime ago. also they said even if i go into the branch they will give me the same answer. So the only option they are giving me is to pay off the account and it will stay on chex for 5-7 years. I don't mind paying of the fees if they remove it from chex. so what can be done here? Is there a work around for this? i already have a current account with chase but i want to open a business account and i am listed on the CORP. so i doubt they will let me open a business account. Is there a law or anything i can do to get that removed to chex? I greatly appreciate everyone's support
