Ok, I have like 3 accounts like this on my report. All have DA and DOLA the same date? How can that be.

I had a bill, The OC sold it to a CA, that CA sold it to Murphy, Murphy sold it to this company.
This Company is not listed except with numbers, the Date Assigned and the DOLA is the same.
I'm sure if I go through everything (I have everything I owe in a box) I can find the other CA, OC, etc.
How would you even attempt to DV this, especially with no name listed. Do you go back to the OC and
try to PFD? Just explain to them in a nice letter the cause for nonpayment, and I have attempted to pay, and that everytime I get to the point I can pay, they sell it again. What is your input, Thanks in advance.
Not Reported
I think if you pull your report directly from the CB that you will get name and contact information of the CA. It is more complete than the reports that come from myFICO or other credit monitoring sites. The CB has to tell you who this is from on your report.
If the OC is showing a balance, then contact them. If they are showing a zero balance, that likely means that they don't own the debt any longer and can't take payment. If that is the case, I would attempt a PFD with the CA.
Also, only the OC and one CA can report. If there are previous CAs on your report between the OC and the current CA, I would then dispute. You need a true copy of your report directly from the bureau to deal with this.
