Last year, I sat at home and help people repair their credit after I learned how to do my own. For the most part, I was successful in helping individuals repair their credit and most were extremely satisfied and I didn't charge anything. This year, I want to know if anyone has gone on to help people repair their credit as a side job and if so how did you go about doing so. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
It's possible. You'd want to set up a business, like a LLC and get plenty of insurance (IMO). There are some federal laws you'd need compliance with like the FCRA or CROA. There are also several states that have their own laws on the books with regards to setting up a credit repair biz.

I always do it for free. Maybe in the future, I may do it as a business venture.
There is an extremely reputable organization called the Consumer Data Industry Asociation (CDIA) that offers an accredited course on understanding and administering the FCRA, which would be a first step towards establishing credentials in this area. I am not affiliated with CDIA, and am not soliciting business on their part, but I say they are the reputable authority because they are the contractor that the three CRAs use in establishing the Metro 2 format and creating and revising the credit reporting manual used by the three major CRAs. Check out their web site,
