They are a company that provides many services, including reselling of credit reports.
Did you have a rapid rescore done? They do this as well.
I would contact them and ask what PP they had to pull your report.

I would check out the location that mentions Credit Reporting.
Rescore is where you can submit proof that changes have taken place on your credit that isn't reflected on your CR yet, such as paying down CC balances, and the loan officer will take this proof and have a company do a rapid rescore, which rescores your report with the updated information to get you a higher score without waiting on the CRA to update your files.
PP = Permissible Purpose.........what permission did they have to pull your report.
Innovis has been asked to collect information on people involved with mortgages and/or late on mortgages. They are also known as the fourth credit bureau, but most people find out about them just as you did- while involved with a loan process.
They are a very strict credit agency that is very mysterious.

"CBCInnovis" (what the OP was referring to) and "Innovis" are two different companies, though they came from the same roots. CBCInnovis is a tri-merge service within the mortgage industry for EX, TU and EQ and Innovis is an alternative CRA (4th as you say). Mortgage lenders won't pull the Innovis report. In fact, hardly anyone pulls that report. If you were to pull it, maybe 1 out of 5 of your creditors will report, at best.
When we app'd for our mortgage, the pull for the pre-approval was CBC Innovis. They pulled again on the day we signed papers (as expected).
Does your mortgage company have a different, separate pull (not CBC Innovis) showing on your CR's?
