I am not and have never been a customer of Verizon.

Called customer service and the nice young lady told me she saw an account that was in my name and SSN.

Oh boy.  Fun fun.

Sorry to hear that, got to lock or freeze up those CRAs, have to assume your stuff is out there after the EQ breach.

Freeze it like a winter in Antartica. All 3Bs. You might want to throw in a fraud alert for good measure as well.

I got the ball rolling.

I filed a fraud report with FTC and put a freeze on Transunion.  Experian told me I needed to mail in forms.  Equifax has me blocked (since I use a VPN) so I wil need to call them on Monday.

Hopefully I can lock it down fast.

Edit - as of 10/29 I added a 1 year fraud alert (Equifax - said they would contact other 2 CRAs) and started a dispute on the Verizon HP.  Transunion is frozen, may freeze other 2 if it looks needed.  No word back from Verizon directly.

Better safe than not.
