I received a letter from a Collection Agency that they were removing a collection item from my report on May 19. As of June 1, it is still not deleted from the reports. Does anyone know how long it takes to update the reports? I just spoke to the Collection Agency and they confirmed for a second time that they sent it electronically on May 19. I need it updated this week to apply for my mortgage. Does anyone have any advice?
I asked the broker about rapid rescore and she said it takes about 2 weeks and cost about $75. Does this sound normal? I have not officially applied with her, so if there is a better process, it would be great to know.
Ive never heard of it taking two weeks. Its usually 48-72 hours. It does cost, but thats soley on what they want to charge you. They being your broker.
