I had an account with my CU turn into a CO back in Sep 2013. I just paid it off last month, through the CA that my CU said I had to go through, since they won't accept payment directly to them. I'm still waiting for my CU to receive the check from the CA (It's been 6 weeks, I'll check again next week) and I'm wondering if I'll be likely to open an account with them again once they receive it and they report to Chexsystems that it was paid in full? I've been with this CU since high school, nearly a decade, and this is the only negative thing I have had with them.
Is it likely that I can open a new account with them? Is there a way I can make it easier to open an account? Thank you in advance ![]()
No idea. We don't know the CU's critieria and we don't even have the CU's name. CU's aren't all identical. Best way to answer your question is to ask the CU directly.
Visit the rebuilding subforum and get this derog addressed. Even if doesn't prevent you from establishing an account with the CU dergos are always a major problem that should be addressed first.
Thanks.
I thought maybe this was the better place since it pertained to the credit union, but I suppose you're right. I'll repost there.
