Can this come back?

okay another question.

when i began my credit repair journey i didnt follow the right steps. DH said pull your credit report before you do anything. i didnt listen.  i went off of all the collection letters i had in the mail.  well one of them was ASSET ACCEPTANCE!!  i called, set up payment arrangements and then said to myself, 'maybe i should pull my report' so i did and guess what it wasnt even on my report!! i was angry Smiley Mad and so i cancelled the payments to them LOL Smiley Tongue

question is, can they throw this back on my report although it was gone but i did contact them.  it used to be on my report once upon a time.  Silly me, i was going by an old report and all kinds of stuff ended up being gone!!  anyone knows what the outcome of this may be?

Re: Can this come back?

Depends on the reason it is no longer on your report. As gator asked, what is DOFD. If it is past CRTP, then no, not legally will it re-appear.

If due to a dispute- it can but certain steps must be taken and you must be notified within 5 days.

If the CA removed on their own and it IS NOT past CRTP then I'd say yes it can re-appear.

Re: Can this come back?

If acct is 7-7.5 yrs past DOFD it should be disputed as past CRTP period.  It is illegal to re-age accts.
