This is just speculaiton of course, but ... I'm 99.99% certain Equifax "fails" to allow free online credit reports on purpose. Their questions are always innacurate, but when I eventually get the paper request submitted and the response, there is nothing wrong with the info it contains that would explain their garbage questions (and I have pulled reports from lots of other reporting agencies like LexisNexis, Chex, etc. so even if Equifax is outsourcing this, I can find absoloutely no reason anyone would think these questions/answers applied to me).
I've had this happen several years in a row now. So I'm at the point where I just force this process to be as expensive and annoying as possible for Equifax, since I think they're ******* with me because they're either incompetent or cheapskates.
Hi. I logged in here after searching "Cannot access Equifax report" online. I've accessed TU and Experian fine. Equifax has blocked me--I don't know why. Tremendous PITA. I really wish we could do away with this system in the US.
