So everyone is aware than Capital One now uses Transunion scores for their members each month. Well, for months I have paid my balance in full before the statement date and my Cap 1 Transunion score never budged at all... Fast forward 4 months and I had an accident and forgot to pay my balance in full, instead I made a minimum payment.. Well statement comes around and I notice my "uh oh". A few days later, I check my Capital One Transunion score and, oh my stars, it went up +6 points with a balance!! What the heck? Literally, a measely $2k credit line (my lowest line) and I leave a $213 balance on it and the score raises. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Has anyone had this happen?
It's a FAKO. Doesn't really matter what it does IMO.
So true. It's a useless score. But. Hopefully it will show trends.
