Re: Capital One...As if We Didn't Know!

Yeah - pretty crappy, BUT:
If you cannot manage a $300 credit card, why on earth would you get another one?

Capital one...as we don't know...My experience

Amen!!!! That makes absolutely no sense.  I remember Capital One offered my wife and I the same amount of multiple cards.  When we found out that we could have more than one master card by Capital One we accepted the card, closed out the new master card and merged the credit limits to get a higher credit limit on the older card.  It seemed to be the only way we would get a credit limit increase.  Now we just have one Capital one card but with 7770 credit limit.  I have called them and asked them to increase my limit to an even 10,000 and t hey won't do it.  Since it's one of my oldest cards, I won't close it either.

I guess it's that "predatory lender" attitude: Hey! These people CANNOT handle money! Let's GET them!"
But - what about personal responsibility? That has to be my pet peeve -  people who think all their screw-ups are someone else's doing! Arg!
Did Cap1 take advantage of these people? Absolutely!
Were these people forced into opening multiple accounts? Absolutely not!
Whew- I'm a little cranky after working 16 hours today....Please forgive me!Smiley Surprised
