@AnonymousYou cannot go by the score that Capital One offers on APP/site. It is a FAKO score and always higher than your REAL Fico. This statement above is not accurate. The score provided by CO is indeed a VS 3.0 score using TU data, but that has nothing to do with a FICO score. There are people that report their FICO scores 100 points below their VS 3.0 scores, while others report their FICO scores 100 points higher than their VS 3.0 scores. I am a good example to negate the above quoted statement, as my TU FICO 08 score is currently 25 points higher than my TU VS 3.0 score.
Very true BBS- My TU Vantage Score 3.0 on Credit Karma and Creditwise is 778. My TU FICO 8 is 769.

Yes on the denial it is a version of FICO. but not FICO 8. Others may know which version, as I'm not certain.

They use EQ FICO 5, the Equifax version of the mortgage scores.
Do they use that version for approvals also or just for CLI?
I think it's just for CLI's.
In my experience, for new card applications, they've pulled TU, EX, and EQ, often double or triple pulling. I have no idea what score versions.
I just know that for CLI's they were using FICO 5 based on EQ data -- usually 1 1/2 to 2 months out of date. It took me a long time to figure that out
