Wanting to see if anyone else has had this experience. 2 weeks ago I paid off my wife's capital one card in full. The account now has a 0 balance. The statement cut two days later showing a 0 balance.
Usually this account will update with the credit bureaus on the 14th, 15th, or 16th of the month. But it hasn't. This has occurred before where I will pay off a card in full and it will all the sudden take months for it to reflect on my reports even though they had no delay reporting when there was a balance when the statement.
this is very frustrating for people who are needing the good data point on their reports.
has anyone else had delays in reporting from Capital One after bringing an account to a 0 balance?
I have not, no. But I suppose you could just dispute it.

I have had some issues regarding updated information with Capital One. My latest issue with them is that my Experian is not updated, the other two are. Apparently Capital One send information to Trans Union and then Trans Union sends it to Experian and Equifax. The delay is in the latter.

@sjt They are individual companies. They dont communicate info for scores and such between each other. They compete with each other for creditors business.

That is what I thought too until the CSR told me their CR process, which is sending it to TU and they forward to the other CRA. Apparently, EX and EQ offer the same service.
