Capital one pending payment and statement end date.

So just curious, accidentally used a this card instead of debit even though the statment closes on the 2nd. Utilization is at 40%...I just made a payment which isn't showing up yet but then Monday will probably say pending...this is my statement end date.

Bummed as this will mess up utiliazation for the month.

So with the payment still pending on the statement end date, will it be included to show as paid off, or will it ignore the payment since it is pending and I'll end up with 40% utilization?

I copied this from a link in email cofirming my payment. I'm sure it's on their site. Also, google "Capital One payment post times" and it brings up all the info.

Monday-Saturday before 8:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. PT)

Saturday evening and Sunday payments are delayed by a day. I think it will count as paid by Monday evening and make it onto your statement. But your concern is warranted. Please us know how it turns out.

It did post under 2% util with the payment added.
