Re: Car situation from the past comes back

@shelby99sg

If I were you, I would go ahead a file a complaint with the BBB, FTC, and AG along with your dispute.  TU may reply that the dispute is "frivilous" just because they verified the information previously!!

Re: Car situation from the past comes back

So, I contacted TU about a month ago regarding this issue, today got a letter back, stating: "Results verified, no change. Date open: 02/1998 date closed: 11/2009"

How is it that a 48 month car loan remains active 11 years later and not existing on my report 8 months ago? Should i just get an attorney? This is not normal.

Shelby,how is your case developing?

I agree whole heartedly with O6.  Santander is bad news and are notorious for doing these kind of things.  I would file complaints with the BBB, AG and FTC.  At the same time I would send Santander an ITS letter.

I am assuming you have proof this debt is 11 years old and fell off your reports due to age?

Exactly.

One thing I would state differently is that instead of an ITS just go directly to suing them and having them served.  Santander will capitulate and it'll be the easiest $1,000+ you have ever earned (unless you are a congresscritter taking bribes).  Smiley Happy
