Chase Banking Account

My goal is to one day have a credit score high enough to start having Chase cards.  They seem to be a very easy lender and like their customers.  Would it be beneficial for me to switch banking from Wells Fargo to Chase for my Savings/Checking accounts?  I really want to but the only problem is there are no Chase brick and mortar banks anywhere near me.  The closest one is somewhere about 250 miles from me.  There are Wells Fargos everywhere here, but with Mobile banking the way it is now would it hurt to switch to Chase to start building a relationship with them?

Re: Chase Banking Account

Unfortunatly there is no such thing as "Relationships". Either your credit report supports the extensions of a loan / credit card or it does not. Having a checkings / savings account with a particular bank will generally not affect your ability to get or not get a loan / credit card.

Nope.  Your credit profile and your income are the primary considerations.  Deposit accounts are not part of your credit profile.  In some cases such accounts can help but typically with Chase one would have to be a CPC client for it to matter and even then it wouldn't overrule a credit profile with major problems.

Don't rely on "relationship".  If you don't qualify then work on improving your credit profile.  Idenitify the issues and address them.
