So I decided to do a hard pull and try to get a limit increase on my Chase Freedom card. I had given a lot of thought being that I have about 12 inquiries on my repory since last year.
I called CS. I almost decided to forgo and hang up but I have been working so hard on my credit improvments.
I went ahead with trying fir the increase. I was only asking to raise from 1500 to 2500. I was declined.
I was given the reasons and I would receive a letter in the mail.
So again, thanks to this forum, I called the reconsideration line. I called immediately after my decline. I was again turned down.
So I sat down and wrote a full page of notes that I could say as I was calling the very next day. I wrote a list of all the reasons why I should get the increase. I stated that I have been a liyal customet for 2 years. I have been at my job for almost 7 years. I have a few high balances to limits but I explained those are promotional interest free... I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes. She came back on and said my records had been updated. And I was given an increase to 3k effective immediately :-)
