Chase scoring system? FICO Out of 900

Just got my CSP and in the paperwork my score is based out of an Experian score with a range of 250 to 900. Is this a new thing? Do other banks use this score as well?

Sounds like they used your FICO Bankcard Score (either Bankcard Score 2, 3, or 8) for EX. Bankcard scoring is industry specific, like mortgage and auto. Fairly common usage among lenders.

I don't know if myFICO provides your Bankcard scores, but Experian does through both their CreditWorks and IdentityWorks products.

Chase uses their own proprietary score called CARS, Chase Acquisition Risk Score. It is not a FICO score and its components are not the same

Oh. Well there you go. I did not know that.

The statement from OP, "score is based out of an Experian score with a range of 250 to 900", seemed to describe the EX bankcard.
