Citi Bank Personal Loan Reporting

Hello All,

I applied for a personal loan with Citibank last year in August and was approved. My question is, Equifax is reporting two loans issued by them. I called Citibank and they only have record of one loan in the system. My personal loan shows paid as agreed every month, but the second loan shows 2 payments and then no additional activity. I originally thought that was the way Citibank was reporting it, but now find out that's definitely not correct. The 2nd loan is definitely affecting my score and it's only on Equifax. If I dispute it, Equifax said I have to dispute both and I don't want issues with my bank. I'm afraid if I don't dispute it, there's a possibility of it eventually reporting negatively even though it must be an error on the credit bureaus end. What should I do?

Unfortunately Equifax is notorious for issues, there's lots of posts regarding similar issues with them, if you haven't already, search 'equifax duplicate' in the forum search bar above (search all community) and you'll be provided with lots of reading.
