Have a Citibank card with $11,000 balance and $25,000 limit. They sent several e-mail offers in effect offering 1.99% for 15 months with a fixed $199 transaction fee. I paid off the $11,000 and excercised the offer for $23,000. Error, error, error when trying to excercise it on the web. along with a message to call customer service. I called and they could not find any record of the offer, adding that I could do the offer EXCEPT that the transaction fee will be 3% with no cap. So, I;m stuck paying an additional $550 in transaction fees. Any suggestions?
