Closing CC before two years . . .

Need Advice,

Recently received an invitation for the Juniper Card, applied and was approved for 1750 CL.  I started rebuilding 2006 w/a CC named Imagine.  My CL is 500 w/no hope of ever increasing and growing.  Imagine charges monthly and ann. fees.  However, April of 2009 the Imagine Card will age two years, which should be a nice boost or should it . . . .

Should I close the imagine card because of the fees and open the Juniper Card?  Please advise.

Re: Closing CC before two years . . .

Well, you already have the Juni, it appears, as you were approved for the $1750 CL.

The Aspire card seems to have done its job, but you might want to have one more CC before closing it. I'd suggest checking out your local credit unions.

The best timing on closing the Aspire would be the month before the fee is due again.

The closed card will stay on your reports for 10 years after closing.

Please read fused's "Closing Credit Cards" link in my siggy.
