I have probably asked this before but I have a collection account and it seems as though this CA, AFNI Bloom is pulling my credit every week, sometimes 2 or 3 times. I know this because I am getting alerts from TC and Scorewatch. Is this affecting me?Thanks

You vare getting alerts for hard inquiries, every two or three weeks? I would contact them first and have them remove these inquiries cause yes they do hurt. I would given then a set amount of time to remove them and stop pulling and make them aware that you know they cannot arbitrarily pulled your file without a request for new credit from you. I would dispute with the credit bureaus that I have not applied for new credit with them. Lastly, I would report to the FTC that a company is accessing your credit file under the guise of applying for new credit and you have made no such application.

Sounds like it's just soft pulls but I'm not sure who can see them. Scorewatch has no change right?
No monitoring service send out alerts for soft pulls!! These are hard

Hmm I thought Scorewatch sent alerts for soft unless possibly promo inq softs... interesting. Wonder why it has not affected her score apparently though in the case of hard pulls.
Usually the effect of inqs varies depending on yourcredit file. Once you reach the 'too many inquiries' benchmark, there is little or not effect on score. That being said. If the OP were to apply for new credit, these multiple inquiries will make it look as if they havebeen applying all over town for loans or whatever, one of the most common reason for denial. In addition the score will have an even harder time recovering as the inq will not ae off just keep being added to the fle if not stopped now.I wish the scoring system sent alerts for soft inq. I would love to know when my creditors were watching me without having to pay for it.
