I have been trying to find the answer to this question from pass thread but have been unsuccessful. I hope that someone can help me with my concern.
In college, I signed a lease with this apt complex that turned out to be somewhat questionable and tried to back out of my lease. I still moved out despite their resistance to dissolve the lease agreement.
Now it's in collection, which was first assigned on Feb 27, 2003 but last reported on March 6, 2008. There is no DOLA. How long will this remain on my TU Report or will they continue to report until I pay? Please Help!!!!

TU didn't have enough info so I went ahead and got a EQ CR. The lease ended on Feb of 2003 with the last payment made on Nov of 2002. The SOL in TX is 4 years, however, I just wonder how long can they continue to report? If so, does that mean that this collection will remain with me forever?
They can't remain forever on your CR. They can continue trying to collect. It will drop 7-7.5 years from DOFD.
